The Belcanto opera Festival in Germany has announced a minimized event called “Rossini in Wildbad” set for Sept. 9-13.

The program will kick off with a Rossini concert with fellows of the Belcanto Academy.

Performance Date: Sept. 9, 2020

Soprano Silvia Della Benetta will then give a concert alongside pianist Reto Müller. They will perform music from such operas as “Otello,” “Inganno felice,” “Eduardo e Cristina,” and “La Donna del Lago,” among others.

Performance Date: Sept. 10, 2020

Next up will be Manuel del Pópulo García’s “L’isola disabitata” with scholarship holders of the Belcanto Academy.

Performance Date: Sept. 12, 2020

 There will be a second Rossini concert with fellows of the Belcanto Academy.

Performance Date: Sept. 13, 2020

For the final showcase, audiences will get to hear mezzo-soprano, Diana Haller, as she takes on an all-Rossini program including excerpts from the “Petite Messe solennelle,” and “Giovanna d’Arco,” among others.
