Shakespeare Opera Theatre Unveils 2024-25 Season

Virginia’s Shakespeare Opera Theatre has announced its 2024-25 season.

First up is “La Vie de Bohème” featuring Puccini’s famed opera.

Performance Date: Dec. 6 – 15, 2024

Next up is “Drowning Ophelia,” a one-act dark comedy “about the long-term consequences of childhood abuse, and a love letter to those who have suffered. There is always hope.”

Performance Date: April 1 – 12, 2025

The company will also present “Romeo & Juliet.”

Performance Date: July 11-20, 2025

All performances will take place at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in McLean.

Founded in 2015, Shakespeare Opera Theatre is a professional performing arts company specializing in classical theatre with classical music. The company has previously presented productions of “Hamlet,” “Macbeth,” “Amahl and the Night Visitors,” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
