Semperoper Dresden Announces Soprano for Final Performance of “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg“

The Semperoper Dresden has announced that Soprano Sara Jakubiak will sing the role of Eva in Wagner’s “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg” for the final presentation on Feb. 16, 2020.

The company announced that Jakubiak will join the production, which stars Georg Zeppenfeld, Vitalij Kowaljow, Iurie Ciobanu, Günter Haumer, Adrian Eröd, Oliver Zwarg, Markus Miesenberger, Patrick Vogel, Beomjin Kim, Rupert Grössinger, Christian Hübner, Roman Astakhov, Klaus Florian Vogt, Sebastian Kohlhepp, Christa Mayer and Alexander Kiechle.

Jakubiak recently performed the roles of Eva in Wagner’s “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg“ at the Bayerische Staatsoper and Elsa in “Lohengrin” at the Theater Bonn. She also appeared in the role of Marietta in Korngold’s “Die Tote Stadt” at the Komische Oper Berlin. This season the soprano is set to return to the Komische Oper and will make her Royal Opera House debut.

Christian Thielemann will conduct the production by Jens-Daniel Herzog.
