Seattle Symphony Orchestra to Present Requiems by Verdi & Brahms to End 2021-22 Season

The Seattle Symphony Orchestra is set to present a series of concerts featuring two renowned Requiems performed by some of the world’s greatest opera stars.

First up, the ensemble will present a program of music by Brahms and Stravinsky. Audiences will hear Brahm’s famed German Requiem with Soraya Malfi and Alexander Dobson as the soloists. The program will also include “Funeral Song” by Stravinsky. Peter Oundjian steps in as the conductor, replacing Nathalie Stutzmann, who canceled due to illness.

Performance Dates: April 28 & 30, 2022

The season comes to a close with performances of Verdi’s “Requiem.” Latonia Moore, Silvia Beltrami, Bruce Sledge, and Dashon Burton are the soloists. Giacomo Sagripanti will conduct the famed work.
