Seattle Opera to Present Andrew Stenson in Recital

Seattle Opera will premiere a recital featuring tenor Andrew Stenson on Jan. 29, 2021.

The tenor will perform alongside pianist David McDade in a program that features love songs from the 20th century including Roger Quilter’s “Fair House of Joy,” “Drink to Me Only With Thine Eyes,” Go, Lovely Rose,” “Now Sleeps the Crimson Petal,” and “Love’s Philosophy.”

They will also take on Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Silent Noon” as well as “Sports Analogies,” “End of the Movie,” and “It was a Shit Show” from the TV series “Crazy Ex Girlfriend.” The final piece on the program will be “Being Alive” from Sondheim’s “Company.”

Stenson recently performed with the Seattle Opera in its virtual performance of  “L’Elisir d’Amore.”
