Schulyer Foundation for Career Bridges to Honor Joan Dornemann & Adam Guettel

The Schuyler Foundation for Career Bridges is set to present its 19th Annual Opera Gala and Concert on May 9, 2023.

The event, which is set to take place at the Metropolitan Club in New York City will honor Joan Dornemann with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Dornemann is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of the International Vocal Artists Institute (IVAI) and has also served as Assistant Conductor with the Metropolitan Opera where she has worked with such renowned artists as Luciano Pavarotti, Montserrat Caballé, José Carreras, Sherrill Milnes, Kiri Te Kanawa, Renée Fleming, Deborah Voigt, Neil Shicoff, Juan Diego Flórez, and Anna Netrebko, among others. She received an Emmy Award for her contribution to the “Live from the Met” broadcast of “La Bohème” starring Pavarotti and Renata Scotto.

The event will also honor Adam Guettel, composer and lyricist, with the Distinguished Achievement Award.

The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. local time.
