Schubertiade Hohenems Announces April 28-May 4, 2022 Slate

The Schubertiade Hohenems has announced its slate for April 28 through May 4, 2022.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be solely on vocal and operatic performances.

The company will present “The Erlkings” in a performance featuring music by Schubert.

Performance Date: April 28, 2022

Tenor Christoph Prégardien and pianist Julius Drake will perform Schubert’s “Schwanengesang” and Schumann’s “Liederkreis.”

Performance Date: April 30, 2022

Mezzo-soprano Tara Erraught and pianist James Baillieu will present such songs by Schubert as Die junge Nonne,” “Nacht und Träume,” “Drei Lieder der Mignon,” “Ganymed,” and “Erlkönig,” among others.

Performance Date: May 1, 2022

Bass-baritone Alexander Grassauer and pianist Helmut Deutsch will perform such Schubert songs as “Fischerweise,” “Am Strome,” “Der Schiffer,” “Drei Gesänge des Harfners,” “Rastlose Liebe,” and “Drei italienische Gesänge,” among others.

Performance Date: May 2, 2022

Soprano Samantha Gaul, tenor Mauro Peter, and pianist Kit Armstrong will perform music by Schubert and Liszt, among others.
