Savannah VOICE Festival has unveiled its upcoming slate for the final week of its August 2023 festival.

“The events truly showcase the legacy of Sherrill Milnes by highlighting his accomplishments as a singer and mentor to many aspiring young artists,” said the festival’s Artistic Director Jorge Parodi in an official press statement. “We are so thankful to Charles H. Morris and the Center for partnering with the Savannah VOICE Festival for our eleventh season.”

First up is “Opera Movie Night,” which will be presented by Sherrill Milnes and Chad Sonka. The showcase will feature a documentary on Verdi. Milnes will also share personal videos and anecdotes about his legendary career.

Performance Date: August 14, 2023

Next up is “Concert: Carlton Moe and Friends,” featuring the famed Broadway Star.

Performance Date: August 16, 2023

“Legacy: Opera Scenes Night” will spotlight Milnes’ career and feature some of his favorite scenes and arias as performed by the Festival artists and pianist Dan Gettinger. The event features a collaboration between Milnes and director Fabrizio Melano.
