Savannah VOICE Festival has announced its 12th season lineup.

Only classical voice events are featured in this article.

Fabrizio Melano presents the first masterclass as part of the “Masters in VOICE” series.

“Coffee Concerts” will feature popular, light-hearted repertoire sung by VOICE Artists in an historic setting.

Scenes from Puccini’s “Tosca,” Gounod’s “Faust,” and more are presented by VOICE Artists in collaboration with the First Baptist Church and Christ Church Episcopal choirs.

Baritone Sherrill Milnes leads the next masterclass.

Timothy L. Hall and the Festival artists present “VOICES in Sacred Song.”

Metropolitan Opera assistant conductor and Yale Presidential scholar, Howard Watkins, works with studio artists in this masterclass.

Performance Date: August 15, 2024

“The Eleanors” a new opera commission by Jodi Goble & Michael Ching is presented in a private reading. The cast features Ashley Nuñez, Anna Farysej, Gabriela Linares, Juan Tello, John Tibbetts, Sherrill Milnes, Jacqueline Germer, Weiyi Song, and Inhye Choi.

Savannah OPERA presents Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance.” This production is a  community collaboration with returning Festival Artists, Milnes VOICE Studio singers, Chatham County School students, and a Savannah OPERA orchestral ensemble, conducted by Jorge Parodi. Chad Sonka directs.

Performance Date: August 17, 2024

The “Festival Finale: Reunion” features performances of opera, musical theatre and song.
