On June 7, 2023, Sasha Regan’s all-male production of “The Mikado” will open at Wilton’s Music Hall.

The production first toured in 2017, with this revival following upon recent presentations of “H.M.S. Pinafore” and “Pirates of Penzance.” The all-male casting is inspired by Gilbert and Sullivan productions held in same-sex schools, and transports the drama to 1950s England, where an all-boys’ school camping trip visits the land of Titipu.

The venue itself is historic, with its laying preceding the 1885 world premiere of the work by 26 years.

“The Mikado” will run Monday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with matinee performances on Thursday and Saturday at 2:30 p.m., from June 7 to July 1, 2023.
