On March 5, 2023, SAS Performing Arts Concert Opera will present a Masterclass with Grammy Award-winning mezzo-soprano Tichina Vaughn.

Held at the Theater at PianoPiano Studios in New York City, Vaughn will work with some of opera’s finest young artists in what will be the first Masterclass of their season. As a performer, Vaughn has appeared on stages worldwide, singing opera, operetta, musical theater, and jazz. Recent appearances include The Hostess of the Inn in the Metropolitan Opera’s “Boris Godunov” and Maria in their production of “Porgy and Bess” during the 21-22 season. She will later perform in SAS’ concert production of “Il Trittico,” singing Frugola in “Il Tabarro” and La Zia Principessa in “Suor Angelica.”

The Masterclass will be free to attend, with reservations via email encouraged due to limited seating.
