On May 3, 2023, the Saronno stage in Italy will host the 2^nd International Lyric Competition in honor of Giuditta Pasta.

The previous competition saw over 130 applicants, with the finalists performing in the Kumamoto District in Japan. Under Artistic Director Maurizio Moretta, the competition offers prizes totaling 8k Euros, as well as performance opportunities in concert and opera productions with partnering organizations.

The panel is comprised of Kumamoto City Opera General Director Shinichi Sakuma, Teatro Lirico Sinfonico Artistic Director Antonio di Cristofano, Orchestra Sinfonica della Magna Grecia AD Piero Romano, Pazardzhik Orchestra of Bulgaria AD Grigor Palikarov, Istanbul State Opera Music Director Roberto Gianola, and Adrianna Molina of Artistic Agency of Madrid.
