Sarasota Opera to Present ‘La Bohème’

Sarasota Opera is set to present Puccini’s “La Bohème” starting on Feb. 8, 2020 as part of its Winter Festival.

The 13 performances, which will run through March 21, 2020, will feature Anna Mandina as Mimì, making her role debut. She will be joined by William Davenport as Rodolfo. Filippo Fontana will play the role of Marcello with Jessica Sandidge taking on the role of Musetta.

Other cast emmbers will include Young Bok Kim as Colline, Ricard Rivera as Schanard (in his company debut), Joseph Beutel as Alcindoro, and Adelmo Guiardelli as Benoit. Victor DeRenzi will conduct with Mark Freiman directing.

In addition to Puccini’s masterwork, the company is set to perform “Romeo et Juliette” between Feb. 15-March 20, followed by “L’Elisir d’Amore” between Feb. 22- March 21, and “La Wally” between March 7-22, 2020.
