Sarasota Opera Arts Organizations Remove Major COVID-19 Restrictions

Several #SafeArtsSarasota organizations will modify their hearing protocols beginning March 7, in response to changing COVID-19 conditions.

As such the Circus Arts Conservatory, Florida Studio Theatre, Sarasota Opera, Sarasota Orchestra, and Westcoast Black Theater Troup will no longer require proof of vaccination for entry to their shows, or job sites.

However, the attending public is required to wear a face mask that covers from the nose to the chin, inside closed spaces and as conditions evolve, an evaluation will be made to make the necessary modifications, so regular attendees need to be informed.

Some of the organizations, including Asolo Repertory Theatre, Hermitage Artists’ Retreat, Sarasota Ballet, will continue with the protocols used until now and will make evaluations starting at the end of March:

“Throughout this journey that has forced us to go through COVID-19, we have made an effort to be responsible, putting the health and safety of the public first, that is why we want to thank them, the sponsors, artists, teams. and staff, for their patience and support,” said a spokesperson for the leaders of Sarasota County arts and cultural organizations. “We are committed to following policies that offer a safer environment for all those involved with the least inconvenience and that is why we want to see them back in our places,” concluded the leader.
