By David Salazar

Sarasota Opera has announced the expansion of its development department.

To that effect, the company has hired Brenda Tamm, Davis Wolfe, and Karen Misantone.

“I am very excited to have Karen and Davis join Brenda and me as we continue to serve our community of supporters and further Sarasota Opera programs and mission,” said Melissa Voigt, Director of Development, in an official press statement. “It is rewarding to have the opportunity to work with these talented individuals.”

Tamm, named Patron Giving and Operations Manager, has been with the company since 2015. Now she will now oversee the STAR and Youth Opera giving programs and manage the training of development staff.

Meanwhile, Wolfe, the new Patron Giving Associate, has worked as a manager of the Portland 5 Center for the Arts and with the Pacific Northwest Ballet and Willamette University Theater.

Finally Minatone is the Leadership Giving Officer following decades of experience with such nonprofits as The Circus Arts Conservatory, Child Protection Center, and Asolo Repertory Theater.
