Sarasota Opera Announces Casting for Winter & Spring 2021 Festivals

Sarasota Opera has announced casting for its 2021 festival.

“L’Inganno Felice” will feature soprano Hanna Brammer as Isabella and bass-baritone Alexander Charles Boyd as Tarabotto. Tenor Christopher Bozeka will make his company debut as Bertrando with bass Joshua DeVane as Ormondo. Joseph Beutel rounds out the cast, which will be conducted by Victor DeRenzi and directed by Martha Collins.

“La Serva Padrona’s” cast will include Stefano de Peppo and Anna Mandina with Mark Freiman directing and Marcello Cormio conducting.

In the spring, audiences will get to hear Brammer, Bozeka, de Peppo, Boyd, DeVane, and mezzo-soprano Laurel Semerdjian in “Il Signor Bruschino.” Stephanie Sundine directors with DeRenzi conducting.

Finally, “Dido and Aeneas” will be led by Lisa Chavez in the title role alongside Andrew Surrena. Annie Chester and Lindsay Ohse round out the cast. Jesse Martins conducts a production direction by Martha Collins.
