
Sarasota Opera Announces 2025-26 Season

Fall Season
The season opens with Mozart’s “Così fan tutte.” The production will continue the partnership between Sarasota Opera and the Sarasota Orchestra.
Performance Dates: Oct. 31-Nov. 15, 2025
Sarasota Youth Opera will present a revival of its acclaimed production of “Brundibár“ by Hans Krása.
Performance Dates: Nov. 8 & 9, 2025
Winter Festival
Puccini’s “La bohème” opens the winter season.
Performance Dates: Feb. 14-28, 2026
Lehár’s “The Merry Widow” will be performed in an English translation.
Performance Dates: Feb. 21-March 27, 2026
Verdi’s “Il Trovatore” gets seven performances during the season.
Performance Dates: March 7-29, 2026
Carlisle Floyd’s “Susannah” will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Carlisle Floyd’s birth.
The company will present a gala event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Sarasota Opera House. The event will include a concert on the stage of the Opera House, followed by a dinner celebration at Michael’s on the Bay at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.
Performance Date: April 11, 2026
Casting for the season will be announced later.
