Soprano Sara-Maria Saalmann is set to be awarded the prestigious Bayerischer Kunstforderpreis 2019.

The award-ceremony of the Ministeriums für Wissenschaft, Kunst und Kultur des Freistaates Bayern will take place Nov. 19, 2019 in the Cuvillies-Theater München.

Saalmann was born in Valencia and grew up in Hamburg where she studied at the Conservatory Hamburg and went on to study at the Conservatory Stuttgart. She would become an “Alsterspatz” stage of the Hamburger Staatsoper at a very early age. She is currently a member of the ensemble at Theater Regensburg, where she appeared has appeared in numerous productions including “Don Giovanni,” “Der Freischütz,” and “Nabucco.”

This season she performs at the Theater Regensburg in productions of “Der Freischütz” and “La Fida Ninfa.”
