Soprano Sara Barakat leads the “Artists for Gaza: Benefit Concert” to support Taawon’s orphan program.
The campaign created by Barakat will help provide Gazan orphans with shelter, education, healthcare, and psychological support. 100% of the profits raised will go to children within the Taawon organization.
Barakat is joined by pianists Simon Rial Garcia and Charles Loos, as well as clarinetist Valentina Pennisi, and poet Margot Infanti. The group will present a mix of classical music, jazz, Arabian songs, and Palestinian poetry.
The event is organized in collaboration with the Belgian-Palestinian Association and the Palestinian Community in Belgium and Luxembourg, and with the support of Mazerine.
“Artists for Gaza” takes place at Saint-Paul Church in Waterloo, Belgium on Jan 26 and begins at 8 pm.
