Santa Fe Opera has announced the return of its “Opera in the Park” series with a free screening of “Rusalka” on Sept. 10, 2023.

Audiences will be able to check out the production at Railyard Park at 4:30 p.m. local time. The opera stars Ailyn Pérez in the title role alongside Robert Watson, Raehann Bryce-Davis, Mary Elizabeth Williams, and James Creswell. Lidiya Yankovskaya conducts the production, which is directed by Sir David Pountney. The opera will be presented without intermission with English and Spanish subtitles provided.

Parking is free on site and audiences are encouraged to bring their own portable chairs, blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic (though no alcoholic beverages, glass containers, metal utensils, large umbrellas, tables, or coolers are permitted.)

The performance will proceed, even if it rains. However, the company may cancel it if there are adverse weather conditions such as high wind, lightning, torrential rain, or hail.
