Santa Fe Opera Announces Updates to its 2025 Season

The Santa Fe Opera has announced updates to its 2025 season.

The company said that for all five productions, Andrew Moss will serve as Fight and Intimacy Director while David Zimmerman will be the Wig and Makeup Designer.

Meanwhile, for its production of “La Bohème,” Emma Marhefka will make her company debut in the role of Musetta, replacing Emily Pogorelc, who has withdrawn for family reasons. The company also noted that Willem van Schalkwyk will join the production as the Children’s Chorus Director.

For “The Turn of the Screw,” soprano Annie Blitz and treble Everett Baumgarten will make company debuts in the roles of Flora and Miles, while Jennifer Johnson Cano will sing the role of Mrs. Grose, replacing Christine Rice.

Finally, for its production of “Die Walküre,” Leslie Travers was the Scenic and Costume Designer for “Die Walküre.”
