The Santa Fe Opera has announced cast changes for its 2026 season.

The company said that Native New Mexican and Santa Fe Opera favorite Susan Graham will sing the role of Larina in “Eugene Onegin,” replacing the previously announced Lindsay Ammann.

Graham recently perform the role earlier this year in the Palais Garnier production directed by Ralph Fiennes.

Meanwhile, Lindsay Ammann will sing the role of Olga in “Eugene Onegin,” following the withdrawal of Elmina Hasan. Ammann will also sing Mother Wegener in the American premiere of “Lili Elbe.”

Finally, the Santa Fe Opera announced that Jeni Houser will sing the Queen of the Night in “The Magic Flute.” She will take over the role which was set to be performed by Rainelle Krause, who passed away earlier this year.

Santa Fe Opera will open on July 3 and run through August 29, 2026.
