The San Francisco Opera has announced the program to Plácido Domingo’s upcoming concert.

The performance, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, will also include Puerto Rican soprano Ana María Martínez, Mexican tenor Arturo Chacón-Cruz, and the San Francisco Opera Orchestra conducted by Spanish conductor Jordi Bernàcer.

The performance, which is sold out, will include opera music from Giuseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata” and “Simon Boccanegra,” along with arias and duets from Spanish zarzuelas such as “La Boda de Luis Alonso,” “La del Soto del Parral,” “El Niño Judío,” “El Trust de los Tenorio,” “El Sombrero de Tres Picos,” “Luisa Fernanda,” and “La Marchenera.”

The concert continues the partnership between the three singers who have performed in Verona and are scheduled to team up for “El Gato Montes” at the LA Opera.

The concert will also mark the return of Domingo to San Francisco Opera where he made his debut in 1969 and has performed 14 leading tenor roles. Meanwhile, soprano Martínez and Chacón-Cruz last appeared with the company in 2017.
