San Francisco Opera to Present ‘Elektra’ with Elena Pankratova

San Francisco Opera is set to present Strauss’ “Elektra” from June 7–27, 2026.

The opera will be conducted by Caroline H. Hume Music Director Eun Sun Kim in a production by Keith Warner.

The production will star Elena Pankratova in her company debut in the title role alongside Elza van den Heever as Chrysothemis. Michaela Schuster will portray Klytemnestra while bass-baritone Kyle Ketelsen will sing Orest. The cast will be rounded by William Burden as Aegisth.

The third performance of “Elektra” on June 14 at 2 p.m. will be live streamed. Livestream tickets, which include a 48-hour on-demand viewing window beginning June 15.
