San Francisco Opera Continues Opera is On with ‘Il Trittico’

The San Francisco Opera is set to continue its Opera is On initiative with Puccini’s “Il Trittico.”

The company will stream Puccini’s triptych on June 13 in a production from 2009.

The historical production features Patricia Racette in all three operas in a staging by James Robinson with sets designed by Allen Moyer, costumes by Bruno Schwengl, and lighting by Christopher Maravich. The cast also features baritone Paolo Gavanelli, tenor Brandon Jovanovich, and contralto Ewa Podleś. Patrick Summers leads the cast and the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and Chorus.

The production comes after the company streamed “Mefistofele,” “I Capuleti e i Montecchi,” “Moby-Dick,” and “Lucrezia Borgia. “

“Il Trittico” will be viewable on-demand for free at sfopera.com at 10 a.m. PT and will expire at 11:59 p.m. the following day.
