San Francisco Opera Center & Merola Opera Program Announce 2022 Schwabacher Recital Series

The San Francisco Opera Center and Merola Opera Program have announced the Schwabacher Recital Series.

Kicking things off will be a showcase featuring mezzo-soprano Nikola Printz and pianist Erica Xiaoyan Guo as they perform works by such composers as Barbara Strozzi, Rossini, Alma Mahler, Lang, Schubert, and Ranchera pieces inspired by Chavela Vargas. They will be joined by guitarist Tatiana Senderowicz.

Performance Date: March 15, 2022 

Next up, mezzo-soprano Ashley Dixon will join forces with pianist Kseniia Polstiankina Barrad for music by Debussy, Hahn, de Falla, and Guastavino.

Performance Date: April 6, 2022

Soprano Elisa Sunshine, baritone Timothy Murray, and bass Stefan Egerstrom will be joined by pianist Andrew King for music by Sibelius, Rachmaninoff, Korngold, and Cipullo.

Performance Date: April 27, 2022 

Closing out the series, Sidney Outlaw and Warren Joines will perform music by Gordon, Owens, Dorothy Rudd Moore, Burleigh, as well as the words of Langston Hughes.
