San Francisco Opera Announces ‘The Adlers: Live at the Drive-In’
By David SalazarSan Francisco Opera is set to present “The Adlers: Live at the Drive-In” starting on April 29.
The outdoor concert will feature the company’s Adler Fellows in a 70-minute performance staged by Jose Maria Condemi. The performers include sopranos Anne-Marie MacIntosh, Elisa Sunshine, Esther Tonea, mezzo-soprano Simone McIntosh, tenors Zhengyi Bai, Christopher Colmenero, Christopher Oglesby, baritone Timothy Murray, bass, Stefan Egerstrom, and pianists Kseniia Polstiankina Barrad, and Andrew King.
Audiences will get a chance to hear arias, duets, and scenes from “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” “La Traviata,” “Giuditta,” “Die Zauberflöte,” “Roméo et Juliette,” “Le Nozze di Figaro,” “Les Pêcheurs de Perles,” “Cendrillon,” “Les Contes d’Hoffmann,” “South Pacific,” “Die Lustige Witwe,” “I Puritani,” and “La Rondine,” among others.
The showcase, which will take place at the Marin Center, will include additional performances on May 6 and 13, 2021.
