San Francisco opera Guild has announced that it will inaugurate its 2018-19 season with Opera Ball 2018: ¡Viva la Noche! And BRAVO! Club Opening Night Gala.

The event, scheduled for Sept. 7, 2018, is set to benefit to raise funds for the Company’s education and outreach programs. The BRAVO! Club Opening Night Gala is scheduled for the company’s opening night performance, which will feature a new production of “Cavalleria Rusticana” and “Pagliacci,” directed by José Cura.

The production stars Roberto Aronica, Ekaterina Semenchuk, Dmitri Platanias, David Pershall, Lianna Haroutounian, and Marco Berti.

“Opera Ball is the jewel in the crown of the Opera Guild’s mission. We take great pride in creating an evening that will surprise and delight, but most of all keep our guests attending and supporting this beautiful art form year after year. This year’s Ball is set in Buenos Aires, a beautiful city with a little grit and a lot of flair—perfect for San Francisco,” stated San Francisco Opera Guild President Jane Mudge in a press release.
