Sam Dhobhany Joins Askonas Holt for Management
By Francisco SalazarBass-baritone Sam Dhobhany has joined the roster of Askonas Holt for worldwide general management.
He will be managed at Askonas Holt by Joel Thomas, Seb Mallet and Elan Fryar.
The American bass-baritone is a third-year Butler Studio Artist at the Houston Grand Opera where he has performed George in “Of Mice and Men,” Terry in “Breaking the Waves,” Undertaker in “Porgy and Bess,” the Notary in “Gianni Schicchi,” Officer in “Il barbiere di Siviglia,” and the British Major in a new production of Kevin Puts’ “Silent Night.”
In 2024, Dhobhany won the Ana María Martínez Encouragement Award at the Eleanor McCollum Competition Concert of Arias. He was also an apprentice artist at Santa Fe Opera and a Filene Artist at Wolf Trap Opera. Dhobhany will be an Emerging Artist at the International Meistersinger Akademie.] this summer.
