The New York City Opera co-presents “Angels in America” at the Salzburg State Theatre in Salzburg, Austria.

The premiere will take place on Sunday, April 10, 2022, with additional performances on April 12, 20, 22, 24, and May 4, 2022.

The opera “Angels in America” saw its world premiere in Paris in 2004 and composed by Peter Eötvös. The production, which was presented at the New York City Opera, is directed by Sam Helfrich, one of the most talented and promising directors of his generation.

Leslie Suganandarajah conducts the Orchester Mozarteumorchester Salzburg. The production is set to star Laura Incko, George Humphreys, Samuel Pantcheff, Olivia Cosío, Anna Maria Dur, William Ferguson, Matthew Reese, Raimundas Juzuitis, Hazel McBain, Bethany Yeaman, and Philipp Schöllhorn.
