Saioa Hernández Cancels ‘La Gioconda’ in Les Choregies d’Orange Festival

The soprano took to social media and said, “for personal reasons I have been forced to give up my participation in the Les Choregies d’Orange Festival, in the only performance of La Gioconda scheduled for August 6th, 2022. I’m sorry not being able to meet the public who had decided to be with me in this production.”
Hernández is coming off a run of “Nabucco” at the Teatro Real de Madrid as well as a new production of “La Gioconda” at the Teatro alla Scala. She is to return to the stage in the fall for performances of “Tosca” at the Paris Opera.
“La Gioconda” is set to star Clémentine Margaine, Marianne Cornetti, Stefano La Colla, Claudio Sgura, and Alexander Vinogradov. Daniele Callegari conducts the production by Jean-Louis Grinda.
