Saioa Hernandez Announces Teatro Real Debut

The Spanish soprano said in an interview with Platea Magazine that she will make her debut in the role of Abigaille in “Nabucco” at the historic Spanish theater.
The soprano also revealed that she will make five role debuts this season and would love to do the three Tudor Queens by Donizetti as well as “Lucrezia Borgia.”
Hernandez will become the first Spanish soprano to open the Teatro alla Scala when she sings the role of Odabella in a new production of “Attila.” The opera will also star Ildar Abdrazakov, Fabio Sartori, and George Petean. Riccardo Chailly conducts the new production by Davide Livermore.
The opening night performance on Dec. 7, 2018 is set to be transmitted live in cinemas and on RAI radio.
