Tenor Saimir Pirgu has joined the Intermusica roster for worldwide general management (excluding Italy).

Pirgu will be managed by Nathan Morrison, Associate Director, Vocal & Opera.

This season the tenor returns to Opernhaus Zürich as Don José in “Carmen,” a role which he will later perform this summer at the Edinburgh International Festival. He is also set to make his role debut as Mario Cavaradossi in “Tosca” at the Roma Caracalla Festival.

Pirgu is a tenor who has performed around the world at the Berlin State Opera, Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Bayerische Staatsoper, and Teatro San Carlo, among others. His repertoire includes the works of Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti, and Bizet.
