Sabine Devieilhe, Christophe Prégardien & Julien Prégardien Headline La Monnaie / De Munt’s February Streams

La Monnaie / De Munt has announced a number of live streams set to take place throughout the month of February.

Per a press release, the company’s live streams are made possible with the support of the tax shelter of the Belgian federal government.

First up will be a performance by tenors Christophe Prégardien and Julien Prégardien. The duo will present music by Mozart, Beethoven, Silcher, Schubert, Brahms, and Zilcher alongside pianist Michael Gees.

Streaming Date: Feb. 3, 2021 

Soprano Sabine Devieilhe will lead a program alongside conductor Raphaël Pichon and the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra. The program will include several pieces by Mozart, including the famed Queen of the Night aria “Der hölle Rache” from “Die Zauberflöte.”

Streaming Date: Feb. 7, 2021 

Finally, the month closes out with a stream of “Der Schauspieldirektor” conducted by Alain Altinoglu and director by Michael De Cock and Fabrice Murgia; video production will be led by Giacinto Caponio. The work will star Mieke De Groote, Achille Ridolfi, Dietrich Henschel, Marie-Aurore d’Awans, Nadine Baboy, Hervé Loka Sombo, Evelien Van Hamme, and Yves Saelens.

Streaming Date: Feb. 19, 2021

There will also be a concert performance featuring Mozart’s Symphony No. 39.
