Sabina Puértolas Replaces Carlos Álvarez in Peralada Concert

The Festival Castell Peralada has announced that Carlos Álvarez has canceled his upcoming recital.

The baritone announced that due to a larynx condition, he will not be able to perform on July 30 for the Spanish festival. As a result, soprano Sabina Puértolas will replace him. She will be accompanied by pianist Rubén Fernández Aguirre.

The Livestream recital will feature music by Rossini, Handel, and Donizetti.

Puértolas is a well-known soprano who has performed at the Teatro Real, Opera de Lyon, Palau de les Arts, Teatro de la Zarzuela, and Royal Opera House. She is well known for her interpretations of Handel, Rossini, Mozart, Verdi, and Donizetti’s music.

This season she is slated to return to the Bilbao Opera, Teatro Real, and Opera de Oviedo.
