S.E.M. Ensemble to Present Special Concert

The showcase will feature baritone Nicolas Hay alongside pianist Joseph Kubera, violinist Tom Chiu, and percussionist Thurman Barker. Petr Kotik conducts the Orchestra of the S.E.M. Ensemble.
The concert’s program will feature “Interiors” by Amina Clauidine Myers,” Adegoke Steven Colson’s “Counterpoints I & II,” Leonard E. Jones’ Quinetets, George Lewis’ “Mangle of Practice,” Thurman Barker’s “MR. SPEED’STER,” Henry Threadgil’s “Poems for Voice and Ensemble,” and Muhal Richard Abrams’ “Trio Things.”
Hay recently featured in the company’s six-hour performance of Kotik’s “Many Mamy Women” in New York City earlier this fall.
