Ryan Speedo Green, Kyle Ketelsen, Federica Lombardi & Ben Bliss Lead Metropolitan Opera’s ‘Don Giovanni’

The Metropolitan Opera is set to revive Ivo van Hove’s production of Mozart’s “Don Giovanni.”

The opera will be performed 14 times between Sept. 24 and Nov. 22, 2025 and will showcase Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducting the first cast.

Bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green takes on the title role with a cast that includes Federica Lombardi, Ben Bliss, Janai Brugger, Hera Hyesang Park, Adam Plachetka, William Guanbo Su, and Adam Palka.

The second cast will be conducted by Daniele Rustioni and will star Kyle Ketelsen in the title role. Guanqun Yu, Andrea Carroll, Anita Hartig, Paul Appleby, Brandon Cedel, Tommaso Barea, and Soloman Howard round out the cast.

Of the production, OperaWire said, “Van Hove’s production is not only worth one experience, but multiple to continue discovering the layers and colors of this most fascinating of operas.”

“Don Giovanni” will be broadcast on Sept. 24, Oct. 20, and Nov. 6 and 19 on Metropolitan Opera Radio on the SiriusXM app and streamed live on the Met’s website.
