Soprano Maria Maksakova will be represented by Spotlight Artists Management.

Maksakova, a winner of the 2002 Elena Obraztsova Young Opera Singers Competition, has performed with such prominent companies as the Bolshoi Theater, Mariinsky Opera Company and National Opera of Ukraine. She is coming off her Carnegie Hall debut with the Talents of the World and has released three solo albums with Universal Music Group.

In addition to her work as a singer, she has appeared as a TV Host and was even a member of Russia’s parliament, becoming the only performance to vote against the controversial anti-adoption law; she also spoke out against anti-LGBTQ legislation. As a result of her anti-Putin politics (and those of her husband), she was forced to flee Russia with her husband.

She has also appeared in a number of films and worked as a model, serving as a beauty ambassador for Lancôme. She is also a founder of the Masha Music, a charitable organization.
