Russell Thomas & Ailyn Pérez Lead Lyric Opera Chicago’s ‘Pagliacci’

The Lyric Opera of Chicago has announced a filmed production of “Pagliacci.”

The opera will premiere in August and will be the first time in more than a decade that the Lyric Opera. The work will be performed and filmed in the Lyric Opera House in a semi-staged production.

Music Director Enrique Mazzola conducts an all-star conductor including Russell Thomas, Ailyn Pérez, Lucas Meachem, Quinn Kelsey, and Eric Ferring with members of the Lyric Opera Orchestra and Chorus. Peter McClintock directs the production.

The production is part of the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s summer programing which will Hansel and Gretel in the Park and a celebration of Sir Andrew Davis.
