Royal Swedish Opera Cancels Performances Due to Accident
By Francisco SalazarThe Royal Swedish Opera has canceled all performances until Sept. 27 due to a tragic accident on Sept. 21, 2023.
The company released a statement that all ticket holders will be contacted.
According to the Pledge Times, a man died after falling about 10 meters at the Royal Swedish Opera as he was performing a work task. The man was immediately transported by helicopter to the hospital, where he later died.
The police is currently investigating the accident scene which is suspected to be a work environment crime.
The Royal Swedish Opera was currently in the middle of productions of “Madama Butterfly,” “Elektra,” and Manon.”
