Royal Opera House Reveals When ‘La Traviata’ & ‘Queen of Spades’ Performances Will Hit U.S. Cinemas

The Royal Opera House has revealed the dates that audiences in the U.S. can catch some of their recent filmed performances.

The company’s recent “The Queen of Spades” is set to hit major markets on March 12, 2019, while “La Traviata” will start appearing on March 19, 2019.

“La Traviata” was a major success, featuring soprano Ermonela Jaho in a performance that was widely lauded. She was joined by Plácido Domingo as Germont and Charles Castronovo as Alfredo.

Meanwhile, “The Queen of Spades” featured a cast that included Felicity Palmer, Eva-Maria Westbroek, and Aleksandrs Antonenko with Antonio Pappano conducting.

Meanwhile, “La Forza del Destina,” which stars Anna Netrebko and Jonas Kaufmann, will hit the U.S. in late April and early May; the performance on April 2, 2019, is set to air live in cinemas in Europe.

In addition to “La Forza del Destino,” the company will stream “Faust,” which is set to hit U.S. cinemas in May.
