The Royal Opera House Covent Garden has announced a series of special fundraising performances in support of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

“The Royal Opera – Concert for Ukraine” will be led by Oksana Lyniv and Antonio Pappano and will feature Yuriy Yurchuk, Pretty Yende, Freddie De Tommaso, Dymtro Popov, and members of the Jette Parker Young Artists. The concert will also spotlight members of the Royal Opera Chorus and Orchestra. It is set for April 15, 2022.

Additionally, the company will stream “Flight Pattern” starting on April 22, 2020 and the Royal Ballet will give a fundraising performance of “Swan Lake” on May 5, 2022.

“Everyone at ROH is deeply shocked and appalled by the worsening humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, following Russia’s invasion. I hope these special performances and stream by the ROH community of artists from across the world can help raise much-needed funds to support the humanitarian work of the Disasters Emergency Committee,” said Alex Beard, the Chief Executive of the Royal Opera House, in an official press statement.
