Royal Opera House 2019-20 Season: Here Is All The Information On The Live in Cinema Series

With the reveal of its new 2019-20 season, the Royal Opera House has unveiled its live in cinemas performances. Here is a rundown of the major works that audiences can check out in the movie theaters.

Don Giovanni – Oct. 8, 2019: The Mozart masterpiece will feature Erwin Schrott, Roberto Tagliavini, Malin Byström, Daniel Behle, Christine Rice, Louise Alder, and Leon Kosavic. Harmut Haenchen conducts.

Don Pasquale – Oct. 24, 2019: Olga Peretyatko headlines a cast that also includes Bryn Terfel in the title role, Ioan Hotea as Ernesto, and Mariusz Kwiecien as Doctor Malatesta. Evelino Pidò will conduct.

La Bohème – Jan 29, 2020:  Emmanuel Villaume conducts a cast headlined by Sonya Yoncheva and Charles Castronovo. Aida Garifullina will interpret Musetta while Andrzej Filonczyk plays Marcello.

Fidelio – March 17, 2020: Jonas Kaufmann appears in his signature role of Florestan alongside Lise Davidsen as Leonora. Georg Zeppendfeld, Simon Neal, Amanda Forsythe, and Robin Tritschler appear in the cast, which will be conducted by Antonio Pappano.

Cavalleria Rusticana & Pagliacci – April 21, 2020: Damiano Michieletto’s famed production will star the likes of Yonghoon Lee, Liudmyla Monastyrska, Dmitri Platanias, Roberto Alagna, Aleksandra Kurzak, Mikeldi Atxalandabaso, and Bogdan Baciu, among others. Daniel Oren conducts the double bill.

Elektra – June 18, 2020: Nina Stemme takes on one of her signature roles with Karita Mattila, Sara Jakubiak, Joseph Kaiser, and Christof Fischesser among the rival cast members. Antonio Pappano conducts.
