Royal Opera House 2019-20 Live in Cinemas Preview: Erwin Schrott Headlines ‘Don Giovanni’

On Oct. 8, 2019, the Royal Opera House will stream Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” into local cinemas, with international audiences getting a chance to see the transmission at a later date.

The performance features the season premiere fo the production by Kasper Holten with a cast that include Malin Byström, Erwin Schrott, Roberto Tagliavnini, Daniel Behle, Myrtò Papatanasiu, Louise Alder, Petros Magoulas, and Leon Košavic. Jarmut Haenchen will conduct the performance.

This is one of just two performances of the opera at the Royal Opera House this season; the second and final showcase will take place two days later on Oct. 10, 2019.
