The Royal College of Music has announced that Andrew Moore is its next Artistic Director.

He will take over his role in the spring of 2025.

“I am really excited about joining the team at the Royal College of Music in early 2025 and bringing my experience gained with orchestras and festivals in the UK and internationally to shape future generations of performers, composers and academics,” Moore said in an official press statement. ” I have long admired the focus that the College places on its artistic programme, the diverse range of world-class visiting partners and interesting collaborators, and I look forward to continuing to build a world-leading programme that inspires, innovates and challenges.”
Moore was previously the Head of Music at the Edinburgh International Festival and has also worked with the Academy of Ancient Music, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and the Royal Northern Sinfonia.
