Royal Ballet & Opera Announces ‘After Hours’
By Francisco SalazarThe Royal Ballet and Opera announces “After Hours,” a new late-night event in London’s Covent Garden.
The event will give visitors the rare chance to explore the Royal Opera House after dark and the evening features exclusive talks, live demonstrations, installations and activities combined with access to behind-the-scenes tours and a silent disco under the glass canopy of the Paul Hamlyn Hall.
Guests can navigate the evening through four themes: Stories, Stage, Screen and Style. Each pathway will explore the relationship between ballet, opera and pop culture, with first-hand insights from the artists and creatives who bring world-class productions to life.
The event program will also span areas such as ballet’s influence on fashion with Royal Ballet Soloist Olivia Cowley, the art of action with armory technicians, the creative process with costume designers and the power of singing with Chorus Director William Spaulding.
“After Hours” will be held on August 21, 2026.
