Rossini Opera Festival to Collaborate with Rai For 2022 Season

The Rossini Opera Festival is set to broadcast some of its productions on Rai.

The festival will first broadcast a production of “Le Comte Ory” starring Juan Diego Flórez in the title role alongside Nahuel Di Pierro, Maria Kataeva, Andrzej Filończyk, Julie Fuchs, Monica Bacelli, and  Anna-Doris Capitelli. The opening performance will be broadscast on Rai 3 radio on August 9 and then on Rai Cultura and Rai5 on Oct. 13.

The second production to be broadcast will be “Otello” with Enea Scala, Eleonora Buratto, Evgeny Stavinsky, Dmitry Korchak, Antonino Siragusa, Adriana Di Paola, Julian Henao Gonzalez, and Antonio Garés. The work will be broadcast on Rai 3 radio on August 11.

The last collaboration with la Rai will be a concert Gala by the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai. The concert will celebrate 40 years of Pier Luigi Pizzi at the Rossini Opera Festival.  The evening will include Vasilisa Berzhanskaya, Eleonora Buratto, Maria Laura Iacobellis, Aya Wakizono, Giorgio Caoduro, Nahuel Di Pierro, Dmitry Korchak, Giorgi Manoshvili, and Matteo Roma.
