Rossini Opera Festival Has Announced Cast Changes

The Rossini Opera Festival has announced a number of cast changes.

The company announced that Mirco Palazzi will not sing the Cantata “La riconoscenza” due to family issues on August 14. As a result, the role of Elpino will be sung by Riccardo Fassi.

On August 16, Manuel Amati will sing in the Soirées musicales concert replacing recent Operalia winner Xabier Anduaga.

The festival also announced that Matteo Roma and Diego Godoy have switched dates for the role of Conte di Libenskof in “Il Viaggio a Reims.” Roma will perform on August 18 and Godoy will perform on August 20, 2019.

On August 19, Varduhi Abrahamyan will not sing the Concerto lirico-sinfonico. As a result, Sarà Cecilia Molinari will join soprano Jessica Pratt in the concert.

The Rossini Opera Festival opened on August 11 with “Semiramide” and runs through August 23.
