The Rossini Opera Festival has announced the 2026 edition, which will celebrate its 47th edition.

The festival will take place between August 11 and 23, 2026.

The festival will open with a new production of “Le Siège de Corinthe” conducted by Carlo Rizzi and directed by Davide Livermore. The production will star Adrian Sâmpetrean, Matteo Roma, Maxim Mironov, Simon Orfila, and Vasilisa Berzhanskaya.

Performance Dates: August 11-21, 2026

The company will then perform “L’occasione fa il ladro” conducted by Alessandro Bonato. The cast will include Manuel Amati, Damiana Mizzi, Dave Monaco, Matteo Mancini, Martiniana Antonie, and Giuseppe Toia.

Performance Dates: August 12-20, 2026

“La scala di seta” will be revived in a 2009 production by Damiano Michieletto. Iván López Reynoso. conducts a cast that includes Enrico Iviglia, Hasmik Torosyan, Mara Gaudenzi, Alasdair Kent, Iurii Samoilov, and Paolo Bordogna.

“Il viaggio a Reims” returns with singers from the Accademia Rossiniana. Sieva Borzak conducts the production by Emilio Sagi.

Matteo Mancini and Giuseppe Toia team up with Michele D’Elia for a recital.

Dave Monaco gives a recital with Claudia Foresi.

Juan Diego Flórez celebrates his 30th anniversary with the company in a concert that includes music by G. Rossini, C. Gounod, J. Massenet, J. Offenbach, and G. Donizetti. Guillermo García Calvo conducts.

Adrian Sâmpetrean performs alongside Giuseppe Zappa.

Simon Orfila performs with Naoki Hayashi.

The season will close with the Stabat Mater conducted by Domingo Hindoyan. Vasilisa Berzhanskaya, Anna-Doris Capitelli, Dmitry Korchak and Adrian Sâmpetrean star.
