“Can we go further? I think so. Let’s make it $10,000, which would heat and insulate the homes of 20 refugee families this winter. What an incredible use of our warm wishes,” the famed tenor wrote.

The campaign offers up rewards for backers including an outgoing voicemail message from the tenor for those that contributor at least $500. A video greeting goes to those that put up $1,000 while a $2,500 contribution will net you original artwork from the singing actor.

But the big prize of a dinner with Villazon will go to those that donate $10,000.

The campaign is in support of the USA for UNHCR which seeks to help the UN Refugee Agency’s humanitarian work to protect and assist refugees around the world.
